Another hidden Yishun gem, a take-away Taiwanese cafe (kiosk?) in Block 293. Prices are affordable, and the waffles there are absolutely on-par with PrimaDeli’s waffles, if not better. The smell of pandan is the first thing that hits you once you walk the alley. The bonus point is Ganbateh’s waffle paper bag is coated, so the bag won’t soften and turn oily even if some of the spread eeks out during consumption. Your hand should just as clean after eating! I think the peanut butter spread is the most popular spread as I’d heard numerous orders for it while I’m in the queue. Their claim as “Pandan Waffle Specialty Store” is solid and genuine. They close at 7pm sharp, so get here early! Oh dear. Looks like they’ll enjoy longer queues after this post…

The pandan waffles are delightful—light, fluffy and slightly crisp. Not sickeningly sweet. It’s best to eat it fresh. The pandan aroma is very mild, which is fine if you’re having it plain, but if you add a filling, the pandan gets lost. Maybe a touch of pandan essence would help. The selection of fillings is interesting and enticing (black sesame seems to be newly introduced). I chose peanut butter, which was amazing. I’m sure they thin it out with some kind of oil, as it was quite viscous and velvety. It also had a nice kick of salt. It felt very naughty. Seating is limited. There are only a couple of tables with four chairs each.

This shop sells waffle, bubble tea and some deserts. They are known for the crispy waffles with original pandan flavours extract from fresh panda leave juices. Talking about waffles, many will tend to compare with Prima deli....cos they are available almost everywhere and is a taste that people knows (and they are good). Gambatte is slightly more ex than prima, especially for those with fillings ( cream cheese waffle etc). Taste wise, I would say it offers something different....they are more crispy and has the panda flavour, though I must say the pandan flavours is not very strong. Got to eat it hot, else like many others, it will turn soggy. Like for like, won't say it is better than prima but comparable with a different presentation. Looking at the price menu that other has posted, it appears that prices have more than doubled over the last 3 years...... Era of inflation is really making snacks expensive..... There are a couple of tables and chairs outside the shop ( not exactly a cafe per say as it is the common walkway ). This is more of a order, pick up and go shop, not exactly a cafe where u can chill and enjoy some Aircon.

The staff is so friendly and had a personable touch to her service I was feeling "heaty" and bought some green bean soup with a waffle for snack. Staff helped me to make the waffle less "black" so it's not so heaty for my body.

Pretty good tasting and freshly made waffle- tasted homemade and the crispiness was just right. Very pandan fragrance and taste. Tried the peanut and chocolate filling- generous filling… oozing…sweetness just right as chocolate is not the coyly sweet kind. No need to go to Bukit Merah to their original branch…

The waffle here is made to perfection — crispy where it should be and soft where it needs to be. The pandan aroma is mild yet natural, while the black sesame filling is generous, with just the right amount of sweetness. This place is not close to an MRT station, so getting here requires either a walk or a short feeder bus ride.

Nice cozy corner for drinks and snacks. Try their freshly made Pandan pancakes and goes well with their wide selection of drinks.

Bought one Choco waffle and one Oreo milk tea. Milk tea was flavourful and not too sweet, I really like it compared to the other bbt chains near the area. Waffles are so much crispier too!
